Lauren and Mike's Wedding

The most fabulous wedding weekend ever started verrrry early (3:15AM, to be exact!) on Friday, March 6th. Mama, Leslie, Chris, and I drove to PA in a very packed car. After virtually no traffic (a miracle, considering we went through DC and Baltimore), we arrived in Blue Bell, PA around lunchtime. After checking into our hotel (Normandy Farms, the site of the reception) we grabbed lunch and went back to get ready for the rehearsal. After the rehearsal (that almost became the wedding), we went to the General Lafayette Inn for an awesome buffet that included cheese ravioli, crab cakes, and super yummy desserts. After dinner, Mike and Lauren gave a sweet speech to their parents, family, and friends. Everyone headed back to the hotel bar where the poor bartender was blown away by the big group of people that showed up (poor guy).

Saturday morning was nice and leisurely. We did the bagles/muffins/fruit thing for breakfast at the hotel, then Mama, Leslie, and I went for a walk around the hotel grounds. It was a BEAUTIFUL 70 degree day in PA in MARCH! We did lunch at Panera Bread, then headed back to the hotel to get ready. I think Chris decided that sharing a hotel room with three females was not fun!

Lauren and Mike's wedding was simple, beautiful, and sweet. Lauren was the third most beautiful bride I've ever seen (which is a huge compliment in my book - coming in right behind my own beautiful Ls). Next, we headed back to Normandy Farms for cocktails (nice to meet you, Amaretto Sour!) and appetizers. The reception started with the introductions of the bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs. Festa, then a fabulous four-course dinner, with dancing in between! The band was awesome and there were some crazy dance moves (thanks to Chris and Bill)! I'm pretty sure the party lasted well into the night, but after the reception, I hit the bed!

We headed home Sunday after brunch at a diner down the street and didn't get home until late. The weekend was well worth the driving - most fabulous wedding weekend in history!

Congraulations, Lauren and Mike!
